法國樂壇最受歡迎創意才子BENJAMIN BIOLAY跨刀製作。

 Keren Ann對於法國流行樂的鍾情也源於她的經歷以及合作的音樂人。

1974年，她出生於以色列，從小學吉他時就開始扒Joni Mitchell的曲子，11歲舉家遷往巴黎後竟然得到了Joni Mitchell的賞識而結識了著名製作人Benjamin Biolay，後者的古典音樂背景為她的作品帶來更豐富的編配層次。

2000年Keren Ann的首張專輯《La Biographie De Luka Philipsen》融入了俄國文學、猶太民謠和法國詩歌，並以Trip-Hop、民謠及法國流行樂的融合形式現身，一舉在歐洲贏得巨大成功。

一曲《Jardin d'Hiver》更是驚動了80高齡的法國Bossa Nova鼻祖Henri Salvador，後者在自己的經典複出專輯《Chambre Avec Vue》中收錄了包括《Jardin d'Hiver》在內的五首由Benjamin Biolay和Keren Ann創作的曲子。

從第二張專輯《La Disparition》開始，Keren Ann在民謠中加入了更多爵士和布魯斯的元素，據說是因為聽了不少Chet Baker和Tom Waits的東西。

這一特點在這張《Not Going Anywhere》也有體現，只不過Keren Ann布魯斯民謠更低調，略帶頹廢的清淡語調一直貫穿於小夜曲一般的主題曲中，貫穿於《End Of May》夢幻般的和聲中，也貫穿於唯一一首節奏強烈的《Sailor And Widow》之中。

甚至連像聖誕童謠一樣的《Right Now And Right Here》、唯美極致的香頌《By The Cathedral》和帶有一絲拉丁吉他色彩的《Spanish Song Bird》，也無一不籠罩在一層感傷的淡淡霧氣中。而早先的Trip-Hop節拍表像已然隱匿，轉化成為Beth Gibbons似的內在陰鬱。

有人說Keren Ann的東西適合作為全世界任何一家咖啡館的背景音樂，顯然這也很合理，但竊以為如此華美卻又極簡矜持的作品更適合於私人聆聽。

它讓生活可以變得輕巧和美麗，

“我儘量不記起，勝過再去忘記”

也可以暫別執迷和浮躁，面對潮起潮落人來人往卻“Not Going Any Where”。

生活不在此處的庸俗和別處的虛妄，那麼生活在內心，感覺就像當年聽見Sparklehorse唱著"我想作一匹馬，充滿永不蔓延的火焰"
