對Gotye高堤耶橫掃全球的新失戀國歌《Somebody That I Used To Know / 最熟悉的陌生人》起初印象緣自於鋼弦吉他演奏家Michael Chapdelaine上傳至 you tube 的一段影片,極簡的編曲,旋律輕快又逗趣,讓人一聽就入耳,忍不住跟著琴音哼幾句.

待看了Gotye與紐西蘭女歌手Kimbra Johnso扮做一對曠男怨女在攝影鏡頭前全裸上陣任人體彩繪藝術家塗抹一層又一層彩繪顏料的創意MV,才知道歌詞所描述的原本是「在一起,人生死而無憾」、「我就是你人生中唯一的一切」曾經愛到刻骨銘心的情侶以為帶著微笑說bye-bye,兩人還可以繼續當朋友,沒想到翻臉之後不只形同陌路,一提到對方竟是濃濃的怨懟,脫口說出了「Now you're just somebody that I used to know /現在你對我來說, 只是我曾經認識的一個人！」
